Developers, get downloading! Apple has just begun seeding iTunes 10.5 beta 6.1 to developers, which features iTunes Match. This is the first time developers will be able to get their hands on the new cloud platform, announced by Apple at WWDC in June. KGI Research analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has released a timeline indicating that Apple is planning a massive rollout for multiple new products in Q3 2014. According to the Kuo, the only thing we can expect to see in the first half of the year is a small iMac update. Starting at the end of the third quarter and continuing into the beginning of the fourth, however, Apple will update most of its product lineup: iPad Air and mini, the Apple TV, and the MacBook family....

In its goal to become 100% carbon-neutral by 2030, Apple announced today that it has more than doubled the number of suppliers committed to using only clean energy over the last year. According to a new report from Bloomberg, Apple is planning to open new offices in a quickly growing Vancouver development. Apple will join the likes of Deloitte and IWG plc’s Spaces in the office space. Apple is said to be a “key tenant” of the upcoming 400 West Georgia development in Vancouver, which is described as a “futuristic tower.” It’s currently slated to be completed sometime in the spring of next year....
Premiering with a first episode today, Apple Music is launching a new concert series called “House of Strombo” hosted by Canadian TV and CBC radio personality George Stroumboulopoulos. The new series will include house party-like live performances from the host’s home in Toronto, Canada and will include videos of the concerts on Apple Music, as well as interviews with artists and behind-the-scenes content. Update: It appears Apple has fixed the crashing problem with a server-side change. The launch of Apple News+ is not going as smoothly as Apple had probably hoped.
