Apple today released the full official trailer for its post-apocalyptic drama series ‘SEE’. The second season of SEE debuts on August 27 on Apple TV+. This season, lead character Baba Voss (Jason Momoa) must face off against his estranged brother Edo Voss (Dave Bautista), the latter of which is holding Baba’s daughter captive. The first season of SEE was released alongside the launch of Apple TV+ back in November 2019, serving as one of Apple’s flagship shows....

Update: Public beta testers can now download the third test version of tvOS 15.4. HomePod 15.4 is still limited to selected developers to try. A week after releasing beta 2 of tvOS 15.4 and HomePod 15.4, Apple is now seeding the third beta of these operating systems to developers. Today’s build is 19L5425e. It’s important to note that while all developers can already download beta 3 of tvOS 15.4, only selected users can try the beta version of HomePod, which means so many developers can only use the new operating system when it launches....

After launching macOS 12.1 with a range of new features and changes just before the end of the year, a notable exclusion was Universal Control. While Apple originally said it would launch the feature “later this fall,” the company has now updated its website with a spring launch date. We were recently forwarded an email where a reader reached out to Senior Vice President of Marketing Philip Schiller to ask if Apple planned to release a dock for the new iPhone 5. Schiller apparently replied to the user’s email and said there were no plans to produce an iPhone 5 dock, as “most people who use docks use them with speaker or clock systems.” Based on the message header we received, we believe this correspondence is the real deal....

Just moments after releasing the second beta of iOS 9.3.2 to developers, Apple has now released a fresh beta of OS X. The latest released version of OS X released to developers is version 10.11.5. Apple pushed the first tvOS 9.2.1 and OS X 10.11.5 betas two weeks ago, focusing primarily on under-the-hood bug fixes and improvements for developers. These updates are far smaller than the recent tvOS 9.2 and OS X 10....

Following our report that Apple would be rolling out an updated Apple Store app today, the company has just updated the iPhone app to Version 2.7. The updated app includes several performance improvements, one of which brings improved product search capabilities. Apple is also working on a feature that would display offers to download free content to users while in the App Store, but it’s unclear if this version of the app includes that functionality....

What’s happened is that the new iPod touch and iPod nano models – fine though they are – are sadly incompatible with some iPod peripherals. What’s worse is that the feature manifests itself in the form of many older iPod gadgets being unable to re-charge your Apple music player. And the devices these new iPods aren’t compatible with aren’t your common old garden $10 cases and odd little leads – these are expensive systems, such as the Numark iDJ (first edition), some extremely expensive speaker systems (better than the iPod hifi, thank you), in-car iPod recharging devices, including the phenomenally popular Griffin iTrip and more…....

Back in late October we reported that PhotoFast began producing 256GB SSD upgrade kits for Apple’s latest MacBook Air lineup. PhotoFast’s third-party SSD upgrade for the new MacBook Airs read and write at 250MB/s while Apple’s included SSD runs at between 150MB/s and 160MB/s. Now, according to a source close to the company, Apple contacted PhotoFast last week and had them stop all production of their new MacBook Air SSD upgrades....

What originally began as Tidal exclusives, Prince’s future catalog of work may find its way onto Apple Music. Troy Carter, Spotify executive and Prince’s entertainment estate advisor, is currently negotiating deals to have unreleased footage of the late popstar exclusively available on a music streaming platform. Sources told Billboard that although Carter works for Spotify, the deals are being shopped with music streaming company’s rivals as well. In a 1983 performance by Prince, a film was shot where the artist debuted several songs that would go on to be in his 1984 movie Purple Rain....

Apple Music creative director and Beats 1 head Zane Lowe has today been announced as a keynote speaker for the 2017 South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. The event takes place from March 10th through March 19th, though it’s unclear when Lowe’s presentation will be (via Billboard). Throughout the festival, a variety of keynote presentations will be given, focusing largely on music and film. One talk that sounds interesting will come from Spotify’s chief strategy and content officer Stefan Bloom....
